Ugly duckling III and pears!

The painting is coming along nicely! It is almost a swan. I just love this process. Creating a painting is like re-examining ones life and finding out it ain't so bad at all.

Great news! While out walking my dog I discovered a neighbor has a couple of pear trees in her yard. Those trees are loaded with fruit. So I knocked on her door and asked if she wouldn't mind if I took a few. Ends up, she hates pears and said I could have them all. Looks like my week end project is going to be pear canning.
